Weekend brunch will be served as an a la carte menu from 9:00am- 1:30pm. Featuring classic American favorites with a modern twist, Executive Chef, Steve Ross demonstrates skill and creativity in designing a mouthwatering menu, where everything is made from scratch using only the freshest ingredients.

Brunch standouts include House Smoked Salmon Benedict with chive hollandaise sauce, Sausage Hash Stuffed French Toast, as well as, Apple Crisp Belgian Waffles. Prices for brunch range from a modest $6.99 to $14.99, for Sirloin Steak and Eggs.

The restaurant recently launched its re-energized winter dinner menu with a number of options for less than $10, including international dishes bursting with unique flavors.

The Spirit of Jake Scholarship was established by the Maxfield Family and made possible by the generous contributions from the Newport Community, friends and family. The Jake Maxfield Connection strives to provide community service, literacy and scholarship support, and to honor the life of Jacob Martin Maxfield. Jake was a student-athlete and a 2004 graduate of Newport High School. He majored in American Studies and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from Endicott College in 2008. The Literacy Connection aspires to provide supplemental “free” tutoring and literacy instruction for young children. In the spirit of the JMC’s vision to “pass it on-pay it forward and make a connection,” families interested in securing support from The Literacy Connection, will be asked to perform some sort of community service.

Wojtek StaszKiewicz, proprietor of One Mile West, approached The Jake Maxfield Connection in March of 2010 inquiring whether the foundation would be interested in being the recipients of their annual golf tournament proceeds. “For a business to be successful in the long term it has to create value, not only for its patrons but also for the community in which we live in,” said Wojtek. Our restaurant team believes that every business has a responsibility to give back to the communities we serve in order to make the world a better place to live.
